Posted on December 27, 2025 by Danish Kaleem

These Sweet Milk Fudge Squares are a classic, melt-in-your-mouth treat made with simple ingredients. Rich, creamy, and perfectly sweet, they’re ideal for tea time, festive occasions, or gifting.

Ingredients (Makes ~16 Squares)

  • 2 cups full-fat sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 cups milk powder

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder (optional, for flavor)

  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, or pistachios – optional)

  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pan

  • Grease an 8×8 inch or 9×9 inch square pan with butter.

  • Line with parchment paper for easy removal.

2. Make the Fudge Base

  1. In a non-stick pan, melt butter on low heat.

  2. Add sweetened condensed milk and stir continuously to prevent sticking.

  3. Gradually add milk powder, a little at a time, stirring well after each addition.

  4. Add a pinch of salt and cardamom powder if using.

3. Cook the Fudge

  • Keep stirring on low heat until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.

  • Tip: The mixture should be smooth, thick, and slightly glossy.

4. Add Nuts (Optional)

  • Mix in chopped nuts if desired.

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan.

  • Spread evenly and press gently with a spatula.

5. Cool & Set

  • Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for 1–2 hours.

  • For faster setting, refrigerate for 30–60 minutes.

6. Cut into Squares

  • Remove from the pan using parchment paper.

  • Cut into squares or diamonds using a sharp knife.

Tips for Perfect Sweet Milk Fudge

  • Use low heat to prevent burning. Stir constantly.

  • Full-fat sweetened condensed milk gives the best creaminess.

  • Add saffron strands or rose water for a special flavor twist.

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Variations

  • Chocolate Milk Fudge: Add 2 tablespoons cocoa powder with milk powder.

  • Nutty Fudge: Fold in chopped almonds, cashews, or pistachios.

  • Caramel Fudge: Cook condensed milk slightly longer until it turns light golden for a caramel flavor.

These Sweet Milk Fudge Squares are soft, creamy, and irresistibly sweet, making them perfect for every occasion, from casual tea time to festive celebrations.
