    (or crushed digestive biscuits)

  • Melted butter – 6 tablespoons

  • Sugar – 2 tablespoons

OR use 1 baked 9-inch pie shell

🥜 Pecan Layer

  • Pecans – 1 cup, chopped

  • Butter – 1 tablespoon

  • Brown sugar – 2 tablespoons

  • Salt – a pinch

🍮 Cream Filling

  • Cream cheese – 225 g (8 oz), softened

  • Powdered sugar – ¾ cup

  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon

  • Heavy whipping cream – 1½ cups, cold

🍫 Topping (Optional but Recommended)

  • Whipped cream – ½ cup

  • Whole or chopped pecans – for garnish

  • Caramel sauce or chocolate drizzle – optional

👩‍🍳 Directions (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Prepare the Crust

  1. Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.

  2. Press mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie dish (bottom and sides).

  3. Chill in the fridge for 20–30 minutes to set.
(Or bake at 180°C / 350°F for 8 minutes, then cool completely.)

Step 2: Toast the Pecans

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Add chopped pecans, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.

  3. Cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring, until fragrant and lightly caramelized.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool completely.

Step 3: Make the Cream Filling

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.

  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until fully combined.

  3. In another bowl, whip cold cream to stiff peaks.

  4. Gently fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture until smooth and airy.

Step 4: Assemble the Pie

  1. Spread half of the cream filling into the chilled crust.

  2. Sprinkle an even layer of toasted pecans over the cream.

  3. Top with remaining cream filling and smooth the surface.

Step 5: Chill

  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) until firm.

Step 6: Garnish & Serve

  • Top with whipped cream, pecans, and caramel or chocolate drizzle before serving.
