Posted on September 9, 2025 by Danish Kaleem

Here’s a refreshing, colorful, and healthy recipe for a Fresh Fruit Salad that’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, potlucks, barbecues, or just as a light dessert. It’s loaded with a variety of fruits and tossed in a bright citrus-honey dressing to bring it all together.

🍓 Fresh Fruit Salad with Citrus-Honey Dressing

🍽️ Servings: 6–8

⏰ Prep Time: 20 minutes

🧊 Chill Time: Optional (15–30 minutes)

🥄 Skill Level: Easy

📝 Ingredients

Fresh Fruit (feel free to adjust based on what’s in season):

  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved or quartered

  • 1 cup blueberries

  • 1 cup grapes, halved (red or green)

  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced or chopped

  • 1 cup pineapple, chopped into small chunks

  • 1 large orange, peeled and chopped (or use mandarin segments)

  • 1 apple, chopped (toss in lemon juice to prevent browning)

  • 1 banana, sliced (add just before serving to prevent browning)

  • Optional: 1 cup melon (cantaloupe or honeydew), cubed

  • Optional: 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds or cherries for extra color

🍯 Citrus-Honey Dressing

  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice (or lemon juice)

  • 1 tbsp orange juice (fresh is best)

  • 1 tsp lime or orange zest

  • Optional: ¼ tsp vanilla extract or a pinch of cinnamon for warmth

🍴 Instructions

🔪 Step 1: Prepare the Fruit

  1. Wash all fruits thoroughly and pat dry.

  2. Chop larger fruits (like pineapple, apple, strawberries, kiwi) into bite-sized pieces.

  3. Place all chopped fruit into a large mixing bowl.

  4. If using apple or banana, toss them in a little lime or lemon juice to prevent browning.

🥣 Step 2: Make the Dressing

  1. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together:

    • Honey

    • Lime juice

    • Orange juice

    • Citrus zest

    • (Optional) vanilla or cinnamon

  2. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed.

🍊 Step 3: Toss & Chill

  1. Pour the dressing over the fruit.

  2. Gently toss everything together with a spatula or spoon to evenly coat.

  3. If possible, cover and chill for 15–30 minutes to let the flavors meld (optional, but recommended).

🌿 Step 4: Serve

  • Serve in a large bowl or portion into individual cups.

  • Optional garnish: Fresh mint leaves, toasted coconut flakes, or a light dusting of lime zest.

🧊 Storage

  • Best served fresh the same day.

  • Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days, though bananas and apples may soften.
