Hot Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll Sandwiches

Here’s a recipe for making delicious Hot Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll Sandwiches  a perfect snack, lunch, or easy dinner idea.


🥐 Hot Ham and Cheese Crescent Roll Sandwiches

🍽️ Servings: 8 sandwiches

📋 Ingredients

For the Sandwiches:

  • 1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough (Pillsbury or similar)

  • 8 slices of deli ham (thin to medium thickness)

  • 8 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, provolone, or American — your choice)

  • Optional: Dijon or yellow mustard (for extra flavor)

For the Buttery Topping (optional but recommended):

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning


🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Prepare the Crescent Rolls:

  • Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.

  • Lay them flat on your prepared baking sheet.

3. Add the Filling:

  • On each triangle:

    • Place 1 slice of ham (fold if needed to fit).

    • Place 1 slice of cheese on top of the ham (fold to fit as needed).

    • If desired, spread a small amount of mustard on the inside of the dough before adding the ham/cheese.

4. Roll Them Up:

  • Carefully roll each crescent from the wide end to the tip, enclosing the filling.

  • Curve slightly into a crescent shape if desired.

5. Make the Buttery Topping:

  • In a small bowl, mix:

    • Melted butter

    • Garlic powder

    • Onion powder

    • Poppy seeds (if using)

    • Dried parsley or Italian seasoning

6. Brush and Bake:

  • Brush the tops of each roll with the butter mixture.

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

7. Serve Warm:

  • Let cool slightly and serve hot. Perfect with soup, salad, or as a party snack.


🧀 Variations & Tips

  • Cheese Ideas: Havarti, Muenster, Pepper Jack, or Gouda also work well.

  • Make it spicy: Add a slice of jalapeño or use spicy mustard.

  • Breakfast twist: Add a scrambled egg to each roll for a breakfast version.

  • Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for crispiness.
