Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.


Step 2: Cream Butter & Sugar

  1. In a bowl, beat softened butter and powdered sugar until light and creamy (2–3 minutes).

  2. Mix in vanilla extract.


Step 3: Add Dry Ingredients

  1. Add flour and salt.

  2. Mix until a soft dough forms.

  3. Fold in chopped pecans gently.

👉 Dough will be soft but not sticky.


Step 4: Shape Cookies

  1. Roll dough into 1-inch balls.

  2. Place on baking tray, leaving space between cookies.


Step 5: Bake

  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes.

  2. Cookies should be set but not browned.


Step 6: Sugar Coating

  1. Let cookies cool for 5 minutes.

  2. Roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.

  3. Once fully cooled, roll again for a thick snowy coating.
