Air Fryer Potato Slices Roast

Posted on January 9, 2026 by Danish Kaleem

Air Fryer Potato Slices Roast

Yield: 2–4 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 15–20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2–3 medium potatoes, washed and thinly sliced (about ¼ inch thick)

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray

  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp dried rosemary or thyme (optional)

  • Optional toppings: chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, or chili flakes

Directions

Step 1: Prep the Potatoes

  • Wash the potatoes thoroughly. You can peel them if desired, but keeping the skin adds extra texture and nutrients.

  • Slice the potatoes evenly, about ¼ inch thick. Uniform slices help them cook evenly.

Step 2: Season the Potato Slices

  • Place the slices in a large bowl.

  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and optional herbs.

  • Toss well to coat all slices evenly.

Step 3: Preheat the Air Fryer

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes. Preheating ensures the potatoes roast evenly and get crispy.

Step 4: Arrange in the Air Fryer

  • Place the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.

Step 5: Air Fry the Potatoes

  • Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through for even browning.

  • Check for crispiness; if needed, cook 2–3 more minutes until golden and crispy.

Step 6: Serve

  • Remove the roasted potato slices and place them on a serving plate.

  • Garnish with chopped parsley, a sprinkle of Parmesan, or chili flakes for extra flavor.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra Crispy: Soak potato slices in cold water for 10–15 minutes before seasoning to remove excess starch. Pat dry before cooking.

  • Spicy Version: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder.

  • Cheesy Twist: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot slices just before serving.

  • Herb Mix: Experiment with thyme, oregano, or Italian seasoning.

  • Batch Cooking: Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding and ensure crispiness.

These Air Fryer Potato Slices Roast are quick, easy, and healthier than deep-fried potatoes while still being crunchy and flavorful. Serve them as a side with chicken, burgers, or sandwiches—or enjoy as a snack with your favorite dip!
