Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: fresh thyme or parsley for garnish

Directions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a baking dish or line with foil for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Prepare Pork Chops

  • Pat pork chops dry.
  • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Rub the spice mixture evenly on both sides of the pork chops.

Step 3: Bake

  • Place pork chops in the prepared baking dish.
  • Drizzle with olive oil.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes (depending on thickness), or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Step 4: Optional Broil

  • For a caramelized top, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end of baking.

Step 5: Serve

  • Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice.

Tips

  • Let pork chops rest 5 minutes after baking for juicier meat.
  • For extra flavor, marinate chops in the brown sugar mixture for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Can use pork loin chops for leaner options, adjusting baking time.
