Here’s a simple, foolproof crepes recipe—soft, thin, and perfect for sweet or savory fillings 🥞


🥞 Basic Crepes Recipe

⏱️ Cook Time: 15 minutes

🧾 Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup

  • Eggs – 2 large

  • Milk – 1¼ cups

  • Butter – 2 tablespoons, melted (plus extra for pan)

  • Sugar – 1 tablespoon (for sweet crepes)
    or skip sugar for savory

  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon

  • Vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon (optional, for sweet crepes)


👩‍🍳 Directions (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Make the Batter

  1. In a blender or bowl, add eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla.

  2. Add flour and blend/whisk until smooth and lump-free.

  3. Batter should be thin like pouring cream.

    • If thick, add 1–2 tbsp milk.


Step 2: Rest the Batter (Optional)

  • Let batter rest 15 minutes for softer crepes.


Step 3: Heat the Pan

  1. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

  2. Lightly grease with butter.


Step 4: Cook the Crepes

  1. Pour ¼ cup batter into the pan.

  2. Immediately swirl the pan to spread thin.

  3. Cook 30–40 seconds until edges lift.

  4. Flip and cook 15–20 seconds on the other side.

  5. Repeat with remaining batter.
