🛒 Ingredients (Only 5!)

  1. 3–4 lb beef roast (chuck, sirloin tip, or round)
  2. 1 packet onion soup mix
  3. 1 cup beef broth (or water)
  4. 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional but recommended)
  5. 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter)

Salt & pepper not needed—the soup mix covers seasoning.

Step 1: Preheat & Sear

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
  • Heat oil in a heavy oven-safe pot or roasting pan.
  • Sear beef on all sides until nicely browned.

Step 2: Season

  • Sprinkle onion soup mix evenly over the roast.
  • Rub gently so it sticks.

Step 3: Roast

  • Add beef broth to the pan.
  • Cover tightly with foil or a lid.
  • Roast for 2½–3 hours, until fork-tender.

Step 4: Rest & Slice
