⏱ Time

  • Prep: 20 minutes

  • Baking: 25–30 minutes

  • Total: ~50 minutes

🍽 Yield

  • 1 large loaf (8–10 servings)

🧾 Ingredients

Bread Base

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough or bread dough (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 cup cooked chicken, beef, or sausage, chopped

  • ½ cup pepperoni slices

  • ½ cup bell peppers, chopped

  • ½ cup onions, chopped

  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced

  • ½ cup black olives, sliced

  • 1–2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or mix)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1–2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Brushing

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

👨‍🍳 Directions (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a bowl, combine all filling ingredients except cheese (chicken, pepperoni, veggies, garlic, seasoning).

  2. Add half of the shredded cheese and mix.

Step 3: Roll the Dough

  1. Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle (~12×8 inches).

  2. Spread filling evenly over the dough, leaving ~1 inch at the edges.

Step 4: Fold & Seal

  1. Fold one edge over the filling, then roll or fold like a burrito.

  2. Pinch edges tightly to seal.

  3. Place seam-side down on the baking tray.

Step 5: Brush & Top

  1. Mix melted butter with garlic powder.

  2. Brush generously over the top of the bread.

  3. Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese and parmesan if desired.

Step 6: Bake

  1. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.

  2. Let cool slightly before slicing.

⭐ Tips for Perfect Garbage Bread

  • Use cooked meat only, to avoid undercooked filling.

  • Do not overfill—bread may burst.

  • Brush with butter for extra crispy, golden crust.

  • Serve warm with marinara sauce, ranch, or garlic dip.

🔁 Variations

  • Veggie Garbage Bread: Use only vegetables and cheese.

  • Breakfast Garbage Bread: Add scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheese.

  • Spicy Garbage Bread: Add jalapeños, chili flakes, or hot sauce.
