🧾 Ingredients

Pasta & Shrimp

  • Pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine) – 250 g

  • Shrimp – 300 g, peeled & deveined

  • Salt – to taste

  • Black pepper – ½ teaspoon

  • Paprika or chili flakes – ½ teaspoon (optional)

  • Olive oil – 2 tablespoons

  • Butter – 2 tablespoons

Garlic Sauce

  • Garlic – 6 cloves, minced

  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon

  • Pasta cooking water – ½ cup

  • Parmesan cheese – ½ cup, grated

Garnish (Optional)

  • Fresh parsley – chopped

  • Extra Parmesan

  • Lemon wedges


👩‍🍳 Directions (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.

  2. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.


Step 2: Season & Cook Shrimp

  1. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika/chili flakes.

  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a pan over medium-high heat.

  3. Add shrimp in a single layer.

  4. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.

  5. Remove shrimp and set aside.


Step 3: Make Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. In the same pan, melt remaining butter.

  2. Add garlic and sauté 30–40 seconds (do not brown).

  3. Add lemon juice and pasta water; simmer 2 minutes.


Step 4: Combine

  1. Add cooked pasta to the pan.

  2. Toss well to coat in sauce.

  3. Add shrimp back in.

  4. Sprinkle Parmesan and toss gently until creamy.


Step 5: Serve

  • Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.

  • Serve immediately.
