  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • ½ tsp dried thyme

  • 1 egg (optional)

For Serving

  • Tzatziki sauce

👩‍🍳 Directions (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Make the Patty Mixture

  1. In a large bowl, add ground chicken.

  2. Mix in feta, onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, paprika, salt, pepper, lemon juice, olive oil, breadcrumbs, and egg (if using).

  3. Gently mix until just combined—do not overmix.

Step 2: Shape Patties

  1. Divide mixture into 4 equal portions.

  2. Shape into patties about ¾-inch thick.

  3. Lightly oil your hands to prevent sticking.

Step 3: Cook the Burgers

Pan-sear (easy method):

  1. Heat a skillet with a little olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).

Grill option:

  • Grill over medium heat for 5–6 minutes per side.

Oven option:

  • Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Step 4: Assemble

  1. Toast buns lightly.

  2. Place chicken patty on bun or pita.

  3. Top with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and a generous spoon of tzatziki.

⭐ Tips for Juicy Burgers

  • Don’t overcook—chicken dries quickly

  • Feta adds moisture and saltiness

  • Breadcrumbs or egg help keep patties tender

  • Chill patties 10 minutes before cooking if mixture feels soft

🔁 Variations

  • Low-carb: Serve in lettuce wraps

  • Spicy Greek: Add chili flakes or harissa
