Here’s a classic Tuna Fish Sandwich recipe—simple, creamy, and perfect for a quick meal 🥪🐟

Tuna Fish Sandwich

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 can (150–180 g / 5–6 oz) tuna in water or oil, drained
  • 2–3 tbsp mayonnaise (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 small celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion or green onion, finely chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or multigrain)
  • Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, or pickles (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Tuna Filling

  1. In a bowl, combine drained tuna, mayonnaise, and mustard.
  2. Add chopped celery and onion.
  3. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until creamy but not mushy.

Step 2: Assemble Sandwich

  1. Toast bread slices lightly (optional).
  2. Place lettuce on one slice of bread.
  3. Spoon tuna mixture over lettuce.
  4. Top with tomato slices or pickles if desired.
  5. Cover with second slice of bread.

Step 3: Serve

  • Cut diagonally and serve immediately.
  • Great with chips, a pickle, or a side salad.

⭐ Tips & Variations

  • Healthier version: Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  • Extra crunch: Add chopped bell peppers or cucumber.
  • Cheesy twist: Add a slice of cheddar or Swiss cheese.
  • Open-faced: Serve on a single slice with extra veggies on top.
  • Avocado: Mash avocado with tuna for a creamy alternative.
